The model 27 shaper has a large, 28" by 29 1/2 inch heavy cast iron table, with a T-slot for miter gauge. The spindle assembly is mounted to the table bottom, and the spindle rotates in heavy-duty precision ball bearings. The spindle is two-speed reversible. Workpiece hold-downs are fully adjustable. Removable inserts make the use of any cutter safer via undercutting (raised panel cuts), and precision fine-tune adjustment is easily accomplished and locked into position with "quick-lock" handles.
